William S. Transou Principal
William (Bill) Transou serves as Co-Founder of MedSouth Healthcare Properties, LLC and MedSouth Management, LLC. In this capacity, Mr. Transou oversees all aspects of the firm’s acquisition activities and portfolio management with primary responsibility for the areas of deal structures, financing, brokerage, and asset & property management administration.
With over thirty five years of corporate and investment real estate experience, Mr. Transou has extensive knowledge of asset management and corporate real estate to manage and analyze investment opportunities. Before forming WST Realty and co-founding MedSouth, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of his former firm. Prior to this Mr. Transou served as the Vice President of Asset Management and Property Management for the American Financial Realty Trust, a self-administered Real Estate Investment Trust. Additionally, he spent fourteen years with Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia/First Union) and ten years with Hardee’s Food System, both centered on asset and acquisitions management, with expertise in site selection, due diligence, property management, Investment structuring, debt placement, and other related activities. During his tenure with Wachovia/First Union, he served on the bank merger & acquisition team and participated in over eighty institution merger related acquisitions. Mr. Transou holds active real estate brokerage licenses in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma. He is an active member of CoreNet Global, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), and the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR), where he has been acknowledged for consecutive years as a Gold/Silver Deal Maker Winner in recognition for his investment transactions annually.
